Just a quick post today was wondering if any North East clubs have tried shark eye. The underwater camera and instant playback facility. the link is here. The pictures seem like good quality, and as a coach the ability to video, the swimmer view and be able to get back in the water and make adjustments to stroke/technique in quick time, would I feel be a massive help in swimmer development.
All coaches and swimmers have been down the route of trying to adjust something with both coach and swimmer thinking that whats been explained and understood is spot on, only to find that something gets lost between coach explaining, swimmer understanding and implementation, of coaching tip. Its only when the swimmer can see what needs changing via video, along with coach's explanation that the penny finally drops.
The whole set up is less than £600 quid which seems like decent value.
